Looking for a cheap smartphone? Amazon has the Fire Phone plus one year of Amazon Prime membership on sale at the ridiculously low price of $130. Consider that you’re paying $99 for the year of Prime, maybe $20 or so for the headphones, charger, and other accessories, and you’re getting an unlocked smartphone for about $10 altogether.

Which may well be what it’s really worth, when you get right down to it—reviews have suggested that, as a smartphone, the Fire Phone is decidedly mediocre for all its gimmicks—but even so, it would make a handy pocket e-reader, and the built-in Amazon price-check tools might come in handy when you’re out and about shopping. The phone is compatible with GSM networks including AT&T and T-Mobile, but not compatible with CDMA networks such as Verizon and Sprint.

If your Amazon Prime is coming up for renewal anyway, why not? If I had a little more disposable income right now, I think I’d give it a shot myself.
