Vendredi dernier, nous avions rendez-vous dans les locaux de Sony pour la présentation de la nouvelle gamme. Clairement orientée haut de gamme, dans la philosophie de Sony, le marché français va bientôt accueillir deux nouveaux readers, le PRS-350 et le PRS-650 (respectivement, le Pocket Edition, 179€ et le Touch Edition, 249€). Ils remplacent les deux modèles du même nom et auront fort à faire : réaffirmer la place de Sony et montrer son savoir-faire technologique, en particulier avec ce nouvel écran tactile dont nous vous parlerons en détails.
En Europe, ainsi qu’en France, Sony reste leader sur le marché des readers. Visiblement peu inquiété par la concurrence (sauf une arrivée éventuelle d’Amazon…), Sony présente une gamme dans la droite lignée de ses quatre précédentes générations de readers. Une gamme mature qui devrait particulièrement séduire les consommateurs européens. Passage en revue.

Last Friday, we had an appointment at the offices of Sony for the presentation of the new range. Clearly oriented high-end Sony’s philosophy, the French market will soon welcome two new readers, the PRS-350 PRS-650 (respectively, the Pocket Edition, 179 € and Touch Edition, 249 €). They replace the two models of the same name and have much to do: reassert the Sony and demonstrate its technological expertise, especially with that new touch screen which we will discuss in detail.
In Europe and in France, Sony remains the market leader of readers. Visibly annoyed by little competition (except for the possible arrival of Amazon …), Sony has a range in the line of his four previous generations of readers. A range mature should especially appeal to European consumers. A review.
