Intel’s 2nd-gen Classmate PC will sold in the next month or so by CTL on Amazon—and branded as the 2go PC. Here’s the lowdown. Price might be in the $400 range. The nine-inch LCD will have a res of 800 X 480, the same as the earlier model; hence, no threat to the OLPC XO’s display in terms of e-reading. Both XP and linux will be supported; the former could be handy if you insist on standard e-book software able to deal with some common forms of DRM infestations.
