Obscene photos used to sabotage L.A. Times wiki experiment

Details from New York Times. I hope that the L.A. Times will stick with the wikitorial concept despite current plans to cancel the experiment. What’s more, the Times should investigate the possibility of prosecuting some of those who sabotaged it. I don’t care if they’re fun-loving Slashdot nerds. They damn well knew what they were doing and should suffer the consequences. Sabotage is sabotage, and jobs are at stake. How hypocritical for certain geeks to justifiably knock the MSM for lack of interactivity and then wreak havoc on the Times’ promising experiment. If successful, such efforts could strengthen the ad-based business model and reduce the need for subscription fees. Remember, sub-based sites are not the best of news for bloggers looking for news-link fodder.
