Not sure if it’s gotten around to addressing our big beef: the clumsy log-on systems that many libraries inflict on users of databases, electronic articles and the like. Quick! If you live in a large city, can you recite the number of your library card? Libraries might as well be saying: “If you want something free, you’re going to have to go to extra trouble to get it.”
