That’s what journalist Jason Davis is saying on his Australian Book Bee site. Here’s his reasoning:
* Apple Store employees in at least two countries (UK, Can) are rumoured to have been told not to take holidays on that day (see below).
* It’s the last Saturday in April.
* Apple have been talking about late April in Australia (to me, and it’s on the Apple store AU site) for a while, and they usually deliver on launch date promises.
* They’ll want to keep the iPad momentum rolling, to bury the slew of other tablets on the way. As always, they want to manufacture that tech segment’s standard.
* Given they’ve clearly got sheds full of them (although a few less now), the unit is ready to go.
