Browser bold - rothman@gmail.com - GmailEarlier I told how to conjure up a bold font in the new iBooks e-reader accompanying iOS 9.

The trick is to use Settings > General > Accessibility > Bold Text. Then select the San Francisco font while in iBooks.

But wait! It gets better.

Via the just-given accessibility setting, San Francisco will also give you bold within the Safari browser and perhaps other applications. Within the Safari address bar, just tap on the AAs

That’s not the only new typographical goodness that Apple now offers in Safari. The AAs also let you alter the size of the main font as well as the color of the background. And, yes, there are font choices beyond San Francisco.

Detail: Via the accessibility settings and the readability mode, Safari already offered bolding capability before OS 9. But now things are slicker. Way to go, Apple!
