The TeleRead take: Hey, no lack of patriotism here. But, objectively, America sucks compared to the past–in areas ranging from literacy to income equality. And lobbyist-created laws like Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act are part of the reason. Even “populists” like a certain Carolina-based poverty fighter are caught up in the system.
