The Cool-Er e-reader: Feedback sought from owners

Any Cool-Er customers out there who want to speak up?
I’m curious what actual users think of this iPod-looking e-reader—now enjoying much wider distribution than before in the U.K. and also available elsewhere.
The price is still around $250. That’s probably more expensive than discounted Sony PRS-505s and definitely more pricey than Sony’s new$199 model. And some reviewers said the Cool-Er is less usable than rivals. Your own opinions, though—on such issues as ease of page turning?

I’m not that impressed by these readers, actually. Especially compared to the 505, which is a tough device. The Cool-Er is more fragile, and of the two we bought one already broke with the screen turning black or letters messed up. The buttons are hard to operate and do not feel responsive. Interaction, such as jumping to a page or zooming, is done using a slow, rather badly organised fold out menu.
It beats the 505 in uploading books to the device, disconnecting the device then going back to reading – this works a million times faster, so the device is more suitable for ePub testing (the purpose we bought them for) than the 505. But overall, I’m unimpressed.
