iLiad e-book reader as a K-12 machine

So can E Ink-based hardware make it in K-12 classrooms–even if the technology doesn’t offer color for e-books yet?
iRex apparently feels so, judging from this photo of the iLiad and an accompanying caption. The machine is due out in April; price is still unknown. May the machine be affordable for budget-strapped schools! By the way, the caption link also leads to a photo showing the iLiad in action at a construction site, where it could be used to view text documents and drawings.
