E Ink has “started a community forum where people can come together to discuss the [prototyping] kit, the development of open-source e-book software, and electronic paper technology in general,” reports Collin Dunstan at MobileRead Networks.

Folks from E Ink are fielding questions from forum members, such as: “Is there a reason why the display is cleared when the device [Sony Librié--Branko] is powered off? Is there some kind of ‘burn in effect’ if the display shows the same page for extended periods of time?”
