Kindle for Android updated to include ‘time until end of chapter’

Finally! Kindle for Android just added one of my two "must have" features: time until end of chapter. No, it's not earth shattering, and it won't make buying books any cheaper or easier, but it does make them a bit easier to read. This feature has been on the Kindle Fire, Paperwhite and Touch for some time, and it's one of my favorite features. Amazon Coins — A second look

This is an idea that's been needed for a long time: Amazon will soon be adding the ability to make purchases of apps and games with a virtual currency known as "Coins," according to this Amazon press release. Here's a question I see parents asking all the time: "How can I limit the purchases my children make on their new Kindle Fire?" It looks like Coins will be the answer. Good news for Stanza fans: It apparently works under Apple’s new operating system for iPhones, iPads and the rest

Stanza, one of the best e-reading apps around, was broken when Apple upgraded to iOS 4 or later. Amid the uproar from the app’s users, Stanza’s overlords at Amazon tweaked the ePub-capable app but did not promise future upgrades. But Stanza runs fine under iOS 6, the new operating system for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches, at least as best I can determine. I did suffer a lockup when I tried to change fonts, but my hunch is that this is probably an iOS 6 issue rather than a Stanza-specific one. A reboot of my iPad did the trick. Let me know if you...
