At the risk of angering Dan with yet another article featuring the company that begins with the letter "G," I wanted to let you know about some new comics available on Google Play. Over 400 Dark Horse volumes are available in any country where Play books are available. To sweeten the deal, for a limited time, the first installment of select series are on sale in the U.S. and Canada for $3.99. You may be saying, "So what? Dark Horse comics are on Comixology." True, but some of the titles on Google Play aren't available on Comixology, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer....

Star Wars Reads DayThis coming Saturday, October 6, you can join over 1,000 bookstores and libraries in celebrating Star Wars Reading Day, "an international celebration of books about the science fiction series," reports GalleyCat. From the post: Readers are invited to dress up in costume and go to participating local bookstores which are hosting Star Wars reading parties. Lucasfilms and its publishing partners Abrams, Chronicle Books, Dark Horse, Del Rey, DK Publishing, Random House Audio, Scholastic, Titan Magazines and Workman teamed up for the event. Dark Horse begins selling digital Star Wars comics

darkhorsestarwarsAt San Diego Comic Con, CNet reports, Dark Horse has announced it will be publishing Star Wars comics digitally, going along with its other digital comic selections. It currently has more than 50 Star Wars comics available purchase through its on-line store at digital.darkhorse.com. dark-horse-pub.gifIntoMobile is reporting that Dark Horse will be releasing an iOS app. When released there will be over 150 titles including Dark Horse’s popular horror anthology Creepy, Mike Mignola’s Hellboy and B.P.R.D., Joss Whedon’s Fray and Serenity, Felicia Day’s The Guild, BioWare’s Mass Effect, Robert E. Howard’s Conan, Gerard Way’s Umbrella Academy, Eric Powell’s The Goon and many more.
