BookBaby announces a new partnership with the Malaysia-based eSentral

According to a press release distributed late last week by BookBaby, the self-described "one-stop self-publishing solution" and "the world's largest ebook distribution network for independent authors," the company has just announced a new partnership with the Malaysia-based eSentral. Perhaps not coincidentally, eSentral is itself the biggest e-book store in Southeast Asia.

Distribution options for iBooks; Apple does not impose pricing

Publishers Lunch (subscription) has a story today on distribution to the new iBooks store. Libre Digital, Ingram, Smashwords, Lulu, InGrooves, CD Baby and BiblioCore are the ways into the store. Each company has a different fee structure. Some take a percentage of revenues, some a flat fee, some an annual fee with a signup fee, etc. What is unknown, says the article, is whether Apple will direct vendor relationships with more than a small circle of publishers.
