First-time comments will be delayed; spam filter got you?

If you are making a comment for the first time, then your comment will be held until I approve it. This is to prevent spam. After I approve you the first time your future comments will go up immediately.
We receive about 30,000 spam comments a month, so a spam filter is necessary. If you are not a first-time commenter and your comment doesn’t appear, please email me and I’ll check to see if it has been caught by our spam filter.

You know, as often as you have to post that, maybe you should see about tweaking the WordPress template so that words to the effect of “First posts from new posters will be held for moderation. Subsequent posts will be posted automatically, unless they run afoul of our spam trap in which case we’ll approve them manually” will appear right below “Leave a Reply”.
