Japanese book retailer Kinokuniya is going to launch an ebook store in Japan. It will be called Kinokuniya Shoten BookWebPlus and will sell 1,200 books by publishers Kodansha and Kobunsha. The books will be formatted for the iPad and iPhone. Eventually they hope to carry over 30,000 books and make them available for other hardware platforms.
