FriedBeef has an article about the 7 Best Places to Download FREE Textbooks.

The article covers: “exclusive” free textbooks; free computer science and programming textbooks; free medical textbooks; free university textbooks; where to read free textbooks online; where to get editable free textbooks and where to download free high school textbooks.

As far as I can see all the recommendations are to legal sites. I’ve added the link to our “Free e-books” page.
