What’s the story on the Crunchpad?

There are a couple of rumors going around about this device. Gadgetell is saying that the device may not be produced due to higher than expected development costs.

I hope that’s not true. It looked like a great idea and certainly would be a contender in the ereader department. Lets hope that the second rumor they report, that it will be released in November for about $400, is true.
