News Corp planning national newspaper for tablets

The LA Times is reporting that News Corp is planning a new digital-only newspaper to be read on tablets and mobile phones. The new paper would be paid only.

The article says that the paper would have exclusive content and would be aimed at a more general readership that News Corp’s Wall Street Journal. The newsroom would contain its own staff, but would operate under the New York Post and would debut by the end of the year.
