According to the Association of American Publishers, ebook sales doubled in September and were up 137% for the first nine months of 2011. For Septermber ebook revenues (which are always understated because not all publishers report to them) were $80.3 million and $727.7 million for the first nine months.
Mass market paperbacks fell 54.3% in September and trade paperbacks were flat. Hardcover sales were down 18%.
