The second season of Game of Thrones mini-series has just started on HBO. Good reason to check the price of digital editions of George R. R. Martin’s books in major ebookstores.

Last March 4-book bundle was released by Bantam/Random House. The digital list price is set at $30, and as you’ll see, there is no discount in Barnes & Noble’s Nook Store. Amazon Kindle Store is in the middle of the price range with $25.24.

If you are looking for a real bargain, and are using the device which supports Adobe DRM (like Kobo or Nook), you should go and buy the bundle at Kobo – it’s discounted there by 38% and costs only $18.59.

George R. R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones 4-Book Bundle

George R.R. Martin

George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series has become, in many ways, the gold standard for modern epic fantasy. Martin—dubbed the “American Tolkien” by Time magazine—has created a world that is as rich and vital as any piece of historical fiction, set in an age of knights and chivalry and filled with a plethora of fascinating, multidimensional characters that you love, hate to love, or love to hate as they struggle for control of a divided kingdom. It is this very vitality that has led it to be adapted as the HBO miniseries “Game of Thrones.”

This bundle includes the following novels:
A GAME OF THRONES
A CLASH OF KINGS
A STORM OF SWORDS
A FEAST FOR CROWS
