Cool-Er is announcing a refresh of their line.
First is a compact unit with a 6 inch screen and 2G of onboard memory and an SD card slot.
More interesting re the other two units. One will have WiFi connectivity and a touch screen and the next, available later in the year, will have 3G connectivity. More details will be available at CES. Check it out here.

What I want to know is, what do you call a Cool-Er if you make it even cooler? Cool-Erer? Cool-Est?
I played around with the current model last week-end. Let’s hope they really improve the manufacturing quality of the new models. The unit I tried had a slight misfit in the bottom part of the reader, the plastic case flexed if you squeezed it a little and the buttons were difficult to push. The entire unit felt really cheap. Ereaders get outdated fast but they should at least feel as if they can handle a few years of regular use.
