Several news sites are reporting that Google and other direct parties to the settlement have asked the Court to postpone the fairness hearing scheduled for October 7. The parties said that the they are continuing to negotiate the agreement in light of the DOJ concerns. Some news outlets are calling this a “victory” for parties who are concerned over the agreement, but this is clearly premature as we don’t know anything about what is being negotiated. No details are available yet. Nor do we know if the Judge has granted the motion.
