BookRix achieves 500,000 users and cuts deal with Readmill

The start-up company BookRix, that co-creates the future book market with its eBook-community, celebrates the 500,000th member who registered on the platform, today. “We are very proud to have reached this magic number,” says CEO and co-founder Gunnar Siewert. The number obviously stands for the increasing interest in eBooks and possibilities for self-publishing for authors. It is just a matter of time until eBook and social reading finally arrive in the center of society.
Equally, the BookRix-team is happy about the recently started cooperation with the social reading network Readmill. Since this time, BookRix eBooks can be transferred to the Readmill reading app with only one click. Thereby having the ability to be read with an iPad. “We try to constantly improve our service for the users and make it more attractive to them. Therefore, we capture the latest innovations with regard to eBooks,” says Siewert.
BookRix.com is the one of the largest online communities for books and can be seen as a modern, web-based alternative to traditional publishing houses. Anyone can publish his or her own eBooks on BookRix in order to reach readers. Moreover, the author is able to sell their book in all major online eBook retailers such as Amazon, Apple iBookstore, etc. via BookRix. Besides, there are thousands of free eBooks online that can be read or downloaded for eReaders, tablets and smart phones. The book community consists of authors and readers who discuss, evaluate, review and recommend books as well as network with each other.
