  1. I’d be interested to know the 30 books. The Kobo came with 100 Project Gutenburg classics in unformatted plan text. Those went sent to delte. The books would have been keepers if they’d been properly formatted. Having B&N pick the 30 you get beforehand probably isn’t much of a deal. Based on the “from cooking and lifestyle to classics and reference ” description I’d more and likely say No Thanks even if I bought a Nook.

Here is a list of the 30 free books, from B&N’s site: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/help/help_cds2.asp?PID=38548 I was intrigued for a minute by this offer (I have the Gen1 Kindle), but was less intrigued when I discovered I couldn’t pick the 30 books, and then they lost me when I saw the actual list.
