imageAh, the criminal side of me. Having switched over to Opera from Firefox, I’m now running the same browser as one in four crackers does.

image“While the most generous Web measurements peg Opera, a browser made by Norwegian company Opera Software, at a 2% share of the global market, 26% of the hackers who Purewire identified use the far-from-popular application,” reports Computerworld.

Opera, it seems, lacks a big enough market share to be a frequent target of fellow crackers. I’ll say cracker rather than hacker, by the way, to single out the bad guys.

And now for a tip for the Firefox loyalists: Check out Gabriel’s suggestion to try deleting your browsing history. Let me know if the tip works. If it does, then why isn’t Firefox disseminating it in a truly conspicuous way? Better to help users than play down the negatives for PR purposes.
