		<description>&gt; 3. The Book I Want Isn’t Available As An E-Book

Good essay, Juli. As we know, Amazon wants to herd north-of-the-border customers into the conglomerate&#039;s Canadian e-store offering somewhat limited selections of books. It would be fascinating to track the related growth in illicit P2P traffic, based on country-related IP info. Would some kind of meaningful research be possible even with pirated books available from a number of sources? I notice that some hacker types revealed that illegal downloads of books and movies were happening in U.S. Congressional offices. So who knows?

Of course the real villains here---by way of pressuring Amazon---would probably be territory-minded publishers rather than Jeff Bezos &amp; friends.
