Screen shot 2010-09-09 at 10.07.34 AM.pngFrom an email I just received. I had intended to cover this conference for you, but will be unable to do so because of a schedule conflict:

It’s a little over one week to go until the Firebrand Community Conference, and we continue to add new speakers and sponsors to our line-up.

There a few spots remaining to register here.

We are pleased to confirm speakers from Kobo, FiledBy, Taylor & Francis, OCLC, Kaplan, Moveable Type, CCC, Open Road Integrated Media, The Taunton Press and more. As previously mentioned, Peter Brantley, Director of the Bookserver Project at the Internet Archive, will be our keynote speaker, and Chris Palma from Google will host a session on Google Editions. Joshua Tallent from eBook Architects will talk about eBook conversion, and DigitalBookWorld will run our first-ever PechaKucha.

Plus, international non-profit Digital Divide Data joins royalties solutions-manager MetaComet, DigitalBookWorld, and eBook Architects as sponsors for the event.

If you’ve been thinking about ebook economics, emerging rights issues, new identifiers, digital marketing, and other thorny issues like these, this is the event to attend. Come learn more about what Firebrand is doing and collaborate with peers and industry experts at our “One Great Idea: Bring One, Take One” event on September 21-22 in Newburyport, MA!
