The Bookseller reports that the Pottermore website has postponed the release of the Harry Potter e-books until the first half of 2012. The site’s web shop will now open in 2012 instead of early October as previously planned.
Pottermore is also extending the beta-testing period of the website, and will now open registration to new users at the end of October.

Wish I could say I was surprised, but since I’m a beta user and haven’t even been able together into the site because of load problems, they definitely need more time.
Well, those of us not willing to buy it on/for a SONY eReader (and wanted the series in legal ebook form) were going to have to wait until 2012 anyway, though I wonder what this does to SONY’s exclusive.
If no epub or pdf the pirates will rule. Sad they would give an exclusive. She is showing greed.
