After being discovered in one of the latest Google Play app updates, Google has finally confirmed the existence and availability of Google Play gift cards. The cards are currently being sold at RadioShack, Target and GameStop, but Google suggests phoning ahead to make sure your local store has them in stock.

You can purchase cards worth $10, $25 and $50. In addition to the confirmation, it’s now possible to redeem Google Play gift cards from the web or your Android device. Codes can be redeemed at play.google.com/redeem, or through the Google Play app. The redeem option is located in the list of payment options once you click on the price of the item you want within the app.

Google has placed a $2,000 limit on Google Play balances. The balance cannot be used on subscriptions, hardware or accessories.
