The TeleBlog: Your thoughts on its looks?

Michael Banks wants a darker green, and I myself agree. I’d also like the photos to be flush vertically with the text. CSS tweaks can restore certain things back to the old TeleBlog look, fortunately.
Encouragingly, Bill Janssen likes the way the comment boxes appear on his high-res monitor.
So what are your thoughts on the new look—pro and con. This is actually the WordPress Almost Spring theme in its original condition.
On the positive side for certain, we finally have a good WYSIWYG editor, plus the already-mentioned guidelines for contributors. Come on. Don’t just read us. Write for us and be part of the team. Yes, bylines above posts will return. Fame for the deserving!
Meanwhile, major thanks to Robert Nagle for all the hard work he put in on the site yesterday. Any CSS whizzes care to help out?

Sadly, the bad old right-hand sidebar seems to be back, obscuring this comment even as I try to write it. So I guess I dislike the new look as much as I disliked the old one. On the other hand, I have an excuse for misspelling and typos
.
Bill, thanks very much for the feedback, and I’m sorry about the return of your problem with comment entry. Please give me all the details about the res and browser you’re using—and anything else relevant. And is anyone else having Bill’s problem?
The reason we more or less returned to the old template is that it’s a modification of the Almost Spring theme, which, in the original form, does not display images very well. The results were horrid, especially for accompanying elegant essays like the one that Sadi Ranson-Polizzoti did on her late friend. I hated the idea of Sadi’s friends and family seeing her friend’s image displayed as badly as the original Almost Spring theme handled it.
Almost Spring’s designer is a real talent. But somehow the image issue really got in our way. I also preferred the colors of the modified theme. What’s more, interestingly, as reinstalled, the old theme seems to display ok in the new Internet Explorer. Also bear in mind that people in the publishing industry have made some very flattering comments the modified verision.
Still, the theme issue is still very much on the table, and I’ll welcome feedback from all—and especially help from a CSS whiz. Even if Bill’s the only one affected, which I don’t know, I’d like to get things exactly right.
Meanwhile, Bill, my apologies for the hassles. Hang on it there. And if you yourself know a genuine CSS specialist who’d like to volunteer, by all means have him or her catch him with us.
Thanks,
David
