The Apple tablet: My guess is next year

My latest hunch is that the Apple tablet—the one that could give e-books a boost, as a great way to view ‘em—will appear next year.
iPods will probably be the star attraction at an Apple event in September, as they tend to be at that time of year.
What do you think? Yep, many don’t care, but they should—given the strong connection between gadget-lust and e-book sales.

Why bother? The iPhone and iPod Touch already have the “Kindle” app in the iTunes Store or even bother with the licensing when Amazon already is with Kindle.app?
