Just what was hot, and of interest to e-book fans, at Computex 2009 in Taipei?
Well, a swivel netbook shown there can be a laptop or tablet. Also on display was a small laptop selling for as little as $150, plus an interesting linux-based smart phone that can double as an e-reader.
LuYu, a TeleRead contributor, offers an illustrated, on-on-the-scene account. Big thanks, LuYu! I hope that other TeleRead community members, too, will think of us during their travels to major tech shows. Email Co-Editor Paul Biba.
Reminder: The opinions in the just-mentioned post are LuYu and not necessarily TeleRead’s.
Also of interest: Google News roundup revealing trends at Comptex. Low-powered chips were a major focus. Put the low-power PixelQi display in future models, and we’re talking about long battery lives.
