This is a really naïve question. Reading onscreen is not like typing on carbon paper: Heavier and harder are not better.
Your live preview slows commenting to a crawl in Safari, particularly when filling out identity fields.
Joe: Thanks for the feedback. To me, the bolding makes an IMMENSE difference, especially when the room light is a bit dim. You’re welcome to disagree. Sorry about the live preview situation in Safari. Anyone else have a similar problem? Or any other problems with the site in its new incarnation. I wonder if the preview prob is Safari-specific. Thanks again. David
Fonts and their management are one of the key points of the book alchemy, not very well covered (among others) by the current e-ink based platforms and software. With some fonts and sizes, normal is fine, but for some others or for more lisibility (depending on the e-paper you use), bold may be too strong.
To solve this issue, you need to apply specific treatments. It’s what we studied for Les Echos newspaper and some novels, on a production/reader platform developed by Ganaxa on PVI components, coming out in September.
