Someday your E Ink machine could have solar power built into the screen. NeoLux has just unveiled a display like that.

But pesky questions remain.

For example, an e-reader needs power for more than the screen.

What’s more, as some skeptics have pointed out, what about cloudy days? Or use in dim light inside?

Still, if you harbor some marooned-on-a-tropical-island fantasies, maybe this development can jazz ‘em up a little.
