randomhouse image From 8,000 e-books, Random House is to go to almost 15,000 in just months. The Kindle’s popularity has helped spur on Random at a time when p-book sales are disappointing many publishers. Via online browsing, excerpts will be viewable.

Among the titles newly in E will be works by John Updike and mystery writer Harlan Coben (photo—CC-licensed by Mark Coggins) , plus some books within the Magic Treehouse series for children.
