Possible shortage of large-screen displays in ‘10?

There’s talk of a shortage of large-screen displays this year. The good news, of course, is that e-book hardware is faring well enough for their popularity to create such a problem.
Digitimes says demand for 9.7 inch displays will grow 300 percent “on year.” Possible shortage ahead, then? PVI will be focusing on large sizes. Meanwhile let’s hope that even in the short term, the cost of e-readers like the Kindle will come down, not go up. Hardly certain.

Does anyone know if it takes the same amount of e-ink, per square inch, to create the kind of display used in the QUE by Plastic Logic, when compared to Kindle, Nook or Sony? The QUE’s large display area should be a big hit with magazine folks when it finally gets here, assuming the device isn’t too expensive.
