Amazon responded by dropping the repair charge and offering to buy back the cases:

A nitpick, but lawsuits are normally “filed” not “fired.” Though I suppose one could argue that this particular one was metaphorically a “shot across Amazon’s bow.”
LOL. Thanks, Cat. Fixed. Definitely lightning/lightningbug territory–to cite Mark Twain’s witticism on the difference between the right word and the wrong word.
