Hyperfiction: Networked novel and new hypertext env for fiction
March 5, 2008 | 11:29 am
By David Rothman
Hypertext excites me far more for nonfiction-writing, not fiction. But those who care might check out two recent items in the if:book blog:
- An update on Flight Paths, a "networked novel," in which readers can participate. The project is using Netvibes, a way to mesh data sources from around the Net.
- Lowdown on Hypertextopia, "a space where you can read and write stories for the Internet. On the surface, it looks like a mind-map, but it embeds a word-processor, and allows you to publish your stories like a blog."
(Hypertopia item also spotted via Mike Cane.)
