More men than women shun DRM e-books, according to a Book Industry Study Group survey. Any guess why?
Facts ahead are from a BISG press release. The report is fee-based so I can only give you the details that are included in the release, itself.30% of print book buyers would wait up to 3 months to purchase the e-book edition
20% of respondents said they have stopped purchasing print books in the last year, in favor of e-book editions
Most respondents would prefer to share ebooks across devices. 28% said that they would “definitely” purchase an e-book with DRM and more men than women said that they would not purchase a DRMed ebook
As to reading devices: 47% computers, 32% Kindle and 10% apiece for other devices
81% said they purchase an ebook rarely or occasionally
