$99 iPhone coming? Perhaps on Monday? E-book boost, if rumors are true

A $99 iPhone? Or at least one much cheaper?

Rumors are popping up in the Financial Times and elsewhere.

Needless to say, this can only be good news for e-book apps such as Stanza (left) and Kindle for the iPhone.

Me, I’m curious how low the price might drop eventually for the iPod Touch, which doesn’t saddle you with a cellphone contract and related subscription fee.
