What percentage of Pan Macmillan e-books are DRMed, and what percentage are genuinely ownable? That’s still unclear in the wake of today’s exciting news, but Igorsk has just reported:
I’ve bought and downloaded three books in the “Adobe Digital Editions” format and they are indeed plain unencrypted EPUBs. I did not check other formats.
I hope other TeleBlog readers will share their own experiences using the Pan Macmillan site. And while you’re at it, why not write the company to express your thanks?
