The day we have been waiting for has arrived: the Federal Trade Commission’s town hall meeting on Digital Rights Management is now underway. There is a live streaming webcast for those who have the desire and the bandwidth to follow it. (Unfortunately, I have the former but apparently not the latter where I am now.)

(It turns out it was the wrapper around the live stream that prevented me from following it. Here is a direct URL to the video feed, which is active during the panel sessions. Requires Microsoft Media Player or something compatible like VLC.)

Livetweets can be followed by searching on the hashtag #ftcdrm.

Coverage from Oren’s Weblog: intro & first panel, second panel, third panel

Ars Technica also has an article summing up the morning’s coverage.

I will post further stories throughout the day as I find them from other sources.
