Fictionwise on e-book price wars: Heftier discounts go far beyond best-sellers

Fictionwise’s Steve Pendergrast has graciously shared a few thoughts that I highly recommend your reading to understand better the nuances of the Kindle-related price wars.
Among other things, Steve notes that “Fictionwise has implemented our new pricing not just on a hundred or so best sellers, but on every single DRM e-book released in the past 90 days. That’s over 1,000 titles that have an effective price of $9.99 or less for Buywise club members, after rebates and discounts apply. Even for non-Buywise members, the prices are typically in the $10 to $13 range depending on what the list price is, after rebates.”
