Black Friday special: $119.99 refurbished Nook Color

Barnes & Noble is listing a refurbished Nook Color (its first-generation Android tablet/e-reader, which is more hackable than the new Nook Tablet) for $119.99 on eBay, knocking $30 off the normal refurb price. Although it is refurbished, it does come with a one-year warranty, which is better than most non-Apple refurb sales get.
A couple of my friends picked up this tablet back in the day when it was more expensive and were very happy with it (once they’d jailbroken it). I don’t have the disposable income to snag one myself right now, alas, but don’t let that stop you if you do.

I’ve been very happy with my Nook Color. I checked out the video (linked from TeleRead) about the Nook Color vs. Nook Tablet and the Tablet is definitely worth the extra $50 bucks… but $119.99 is a great price for the Nook Color. If you don’t need the latest and greatest, this is a good way to go. Can you believe we were paying over $300 for an original Kindle just a couple of years ago?

Thanks for the tip.
I just bought it (my 2nd Color Nook…for reserve I guess!).
I jhad been up at my local NYC B&N & looked at the new $249 Tablet (side by side with my Color) & the newish Touch ($80 today only–Black Friday).
I ruled out the touch since I read ia lot in bed & on the bus & the Touch would need a light (B&N was out of lights anyway),
The Color is great for reading in the dark !
I also realized that my portable surfing & (what little I do) video needs can be handled by my IPad (original). So though the Nook Tablet was a bit snapier than the Color the book read is virtually the same. Not worth the $250 upgrade.
Then maybe I can justify the IPad 3 when it comes out (Spring ’12?).
BTW the $119 Ebay Color ships free (I forgot about the $11 tax though!).
My wife and I love our new Kindle Fire. It’s lightweight, easy to use and has a great interface. The first thing I recommend anyone with a new Kindle do is install the nook app. We got our instructions from http://www.kindlemad.com through google.
It basically unlocks all the Android marketplace apps and unlocks the device. I am one very happy Kindle owner!
is the color nook still available I need 2 if the price is right with no shipping
