On the heels of the recent Amazon press conference announcement comes news that the Kindle Touch no longer seems to be available for sale. As far as what this may mean, the online chatter has already begun, of course.

We’re partial to this piece from VentureBeat, which suggests that the device’s soon-to-come replacement will most likely come complete with a front-lit screen. Such a screen, of course, would make the next-gen Touch an obvious competitor of the Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight, which consumers have had very little luck getting their hands on lately.
