$149 Android tablet now at Kmart – ebook reading and more on the cheap

By Paul Biba

augen-tablet-550x409.jpgKmart is selling the Augen Gentouch 78 Android tablet for only $149. It’s price will go up by $20 on August 1.

According to Slashgear its got a 7″ screen, an unspecified 800MHz CPU, WiFi, 2GB storage, 256MB RAM, an SDHC slot and a WVGA 800×480 resistive touch screen. They say that Market Access is available on the machine.

Can’t find much further information and, as of this morning, my local Kmart can’t find it in their inventory.

  1. “Google Android OS. Read ebook. Watch a video and listen to music. Browse web. Wi-fi built in.”

Kmart’s description sells it a bit short. I was hoping to be able to read eBooks, not just one book. :)
