  1. Seems to have gone back to $199 :(

  2. That must be a mistake. As of right now it is $199. Which is still a great price.

  3. Well… I bought myself one on may 15th, at around 11am (GMT -3). I was suspicious of the lower price but took the chance. And Borders accepted the buy. Oh, I’m so glad! Getting a Sony Touch for just $100 was a great deal. Yesterday night, when I tried to buy another one, the price already was at $199. Thanks to Twitter, I got this offer even before Teleread announce it.

  4. I placed an order on saturday morning at around 10:00 eastern while the listed price was still $100. I just got an email from Borders saying that the price was wrong and they can’t fulfil the order at that price, but they are sending me a $25 gift certificate. Aren’t online stores required to honor their listed prices?

  5. Not in the USA, especially if it’s a particularly blatant error. Some stores have been known to do so when they judged the bad public relations from weaseling out of it would have a higher cost than the financial loss from doing so, but others will just do like Borders in this case and offer some less-expensive consolation prize.

Apparently things are different in Taiwan.
