Author Solutions hooks up with Espresso Book Machine; Kevin Weiss video on self-publishing

Weiss is the CEO of Author Solutions, which is an indie publishing house. While there is some PR, of course, in the video, on the whole he makes a lot of good comments about the independent/self-publishing world. In addition, they announced today that they are forming a partnership with the Expresso Book Machine people to give writers the online tools to distribute their books at retail locations via the Machine. Worth watching.

Author Solutions is NOT an indie publisher. It is a vanity press that takes way too much money from the author to “publish” a book.
These companies are vampires who live off of and destroy author dreams.
An author who wants to self-publish needs to find a printer, not one of these services.
