Have Amazon got some sort of exclusive deal on this? It was briefly available yesterday at Books on Board as Adobe ePub, but then vanished.

This is soooo frustrating. The only format is kindle. Well, that really eliminates most of the world from reading a legal version. Plus, how can you justify charging more money than a PB given that EotW was first published over 29 years ago? There is absolutely NO reason to DRM this book. Pirated, formatted, and proofed versions with high quality graphics have been available for over 10 years now. Everyone who is going to “steal” an e-book for this ALREADY has! Seriously, release this book in multiple formats including a DRM free ePub version for say, $4, and you would get huge sales because there are lots of people who only read e-versions out there who would love to buy this book to replace their pirated version.

The books are being released as ebooks on a steady schedule, 1 a month I think, leading up to the publication of the posthumous novel completed by Brandon Sanderson.

Alas, though it shows on Books on Board in the UK, it is Adobe ePub only, which is no use to me.

$6.99 for the paperback

What a shame. Greed and idiot publishing houses win out once again. It’s topped by crappy artwork as well. Let’s just hope that there are no typos. (Although that’s likely asking too much and would probably jack up the price).
